All-Time Greatest Simple Tattoos – Tattoos of the Day
Possibly The Second Simplest Tattoo Ever
Here,
Is this even finished? It might be a long time since I was learning the basics of English grammar back in elementary school, but I do totally remember learning that a comma means that the end of the sentence is still to come. Or maybe it’s like some mindfulness thing – about being “here” in the moment, and whatever happens after the comma… the unknown rest of the sentence… maybe that represents the rest of your life? Or am I doing too deep into this? Let’s just keep it simple, huh? Anyway, I actually like this tattoo a lot. Nice font. Like this? Lots more meaningful tattoo quotes here.
Simple Tattoo Bands
There’s no need for some big heavy complex Celtic band with lots of runes and symbolism going on. You’re not in the 1990s and you’re not a member of defunct Irish-American rap crew House Of Pain. Stay simple. Three little bands like this keep it classy and keep it, yes, simple. Check out another simple arm band tattoo below:
Rectangles
Rectangles and squares. Squares and rectangles. This one is way above my pay grade. I have no idea what it means, although a quick blast of Google tells me that 1.61803399 represents the Golden Ratio. Let’s not get too deep into the woods with this, because that gets complicated. Let’s just talk about the tattoo. That is simplistic, no matter how complex the subject. A perfect tattoo for a math teacher.
Three Little Birds Tattoo
Just like the Bob Marley song, these three little birds represent the simple pleasures in life. “Don’t worry about a thing… every little thing gonna be alright…” Amazing the thoughts that tattoos inspire huh? Even something as simple as these birds.
She Sells Seashells On The Sea Shore
Everyone loves the beach. Sun, sea, sand, shells, simplicity. The tide comes in and goes out. The sun sets and rises over the horizon. You know where you are in life. And a simple little seashell on your foot is a perfect reminder of those simple beach times, especially when you’re stuck in some office somewhere far away.
A Cheeky Question?
Punctuation marks always makes cool tattoos. Well… that’s a lie actually. They don’t at all. But they certainly do when inked onto the posterior of an attractive young lady. I have no idea what the question is, but if she’s asking I’ll try to answer.
Paper Airplane Tattoo
All the tattoos that we’ve seen so far have been just been lines or simple drawings, all in one color or tone. This steps that up a little, but still keeps it simple and not too complicated. The use of white ink here is awesome, creating these cool paper airplanes. Incredibly unique. Well… not that unique because here are some more below:
Bicycle
This tattoo is pretty hipster. What would make it more hipster would be if it was of a penny farthing instead of a modern bike, but whatever. Splitting hairs. Bikes are a pretty simple form of transport, and so by that logic make a simple tattoo.
Arrow Tattoos
Not sure whether these are arrows or sergeant’s stripes. This could be a shout out to a military career or the arrows could be signifying something else totally. Either way geometric lines, whatever they mean, generally look pretty good. Very simple and hard to get wrong!
Rewind, Pause, Play, Forward Etc…
Here’s an idea – just look at your remote control for your Blu-ray player and get a tattoo based on it! Not sure what the arrows on the end at the far right mean, though. Anyone?
Be Happy Tattoo
This is cool. Just a simple line, joined up writing, saying a simple thing. “Be happy”. I’m wondering what other little messages could work on a tattoo like this. Couldn’t be too long, as that would lead away from simplicity and towards complexity. How about “love life”? Yeah that would work too. What else? How about “smile”?
Heartbeat Tattoo
Not sure what this means. I think it signifies a heartbeat, but I might be wrong. It might be a skyline of a city, and the heart represents the love of that city. Who knows? Well… I assume that the owner of the tattoo knows, and perhaps the tattooist too. But whatever it means, it’s a super cool piece of ink, and very simple and classy.
More Hearts
And talking of hearts, check these out in different colors. Still keeping it very simple but original too. There’s tons and tons of things you can do with a simple heart shape.
Through The Keyhole Tattoo
This one is simplicity itself. A keyhole at the back of her neck. I wonder if her lover has a tattoo of a key on the back of his/her neck? That would be cool. What was that old Madonna lyric from the 80s? “Open your heart to me… I hold the lock and you hold the key…” Oh wow. I’m embarrassed that I know that. But yeah, great tattoo. Totally simple.
Simple Couples Tattoo
Kinda getting back to the hearts again here, I guess. But what a good idea – you and your loved ones initial plus heart on wrist. A super simple way to show your commitment to each other for sure.
A Perfect Circle Tattoo
And finally we close this collection of simple tattoo ideas with one of the simplest images that are out there – the circle. For some reason, I’ve always liked the front of the shoulder as a place for tattoos on women, and a plain circle is a great idea. It’s like taking the simple arm bands that we looked at earlier and moving them someplace else.
And there you have – some simple ideas for simple tattoos. It doesn’t have to be complex or overly detailed to be effective, classy, original and striking. Less is often indeed more. Hope you like these and found some inspiration. Here’s one more to leave you with. Cheers!
